Are we to follow God or Flesh??
In love and humility I come to you with God's Word.
No one who is a real christian is judging you or condeming you when they attempt to minister God's word to you. Why?? Because Jesus commanded us to do so.
{Matthew 28: 18-20} "Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you...."
In relation to the idea that someone can have a relationship with God (Christ) and continue to walk in sin is a lie from the pits of Hell. You may indeed have a "relationship" with the Lord (because He has "a relationship" with all of His creation) but it may not be the type of relationship that will take you to Heaven upon Christ's return.
These are the works of the flesh: {Galations 5:19-21} "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."
Therefore, how can anyone live a life of habitual sin, knowingly tampering and mocking the grace God has afforded us through the sacrifice of Jesus and expect for Him to accept us simply because we continue to "assume we have a relationship with Him".
{Galations 6: 7} "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap."
God said He will separate the wheat from the tare in the parables given by Christ.
Christ also said not everyone will inherit eternal life. {Matthew 7:21} "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord', shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
If some of the people who did "wonders" in Christ's name will be rejected on the Day of Judgement, what do you think will happen to outright sinful people who never really gave a real attempt to clean up their lives?? They will be put in Hell.
Are we confused about the reality of Heaven and Hell (eternal separation from God's marvelous light)?
{Jude 1:5-7}
{Revelation 20:11-15}
These are just 2 passages of many that confirm God's Word as it relates to the reality of Hell for those who do not obey God's Holy Spirit.
Here are the fruits of God's Holy Spirit in your life:
{Galations 5:22-25} "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
When we walk in the Spirit, we are also commanded to teach in the Spirit, and War in the Spirit against false philosophies.
{2 Timothy 4:1-5} "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."
Anything that doesn't line up with God's Word is actually a fable. Fables are spoken by false teachers and false prophets, whom Christ warned us about. False teachers preach lies mixed with some of God's Truth. When this is done we begin to see such blasphemy as Preachers and Priest ordaining homosexuality and other outright sinful life styles. God's Word is very basic and needs no man made philosophy to be revealed.
